ME TELEVISION ANNOUNCES VJ TALENT SEARCH
Auditions to be Premiered as the New ME Television Series, THE NEXT VJ
OPEN CALL to TAKE PLACE at MIDNIGHT RODEO
Austin, TX (August 20, 2007) – ME Television, the 24-hour regional music and entertainment network today announced that it will be hold open call auditions for two new VJ television personalities at Midnight Rodeo, August 30th, 2007 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The audition process will be recorded as part of a new ME Television reality series, The NEXT VJ, premiering in October.
As an ME VJ, their duties will include covering Austin’s best music and entertainment events like Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, and Musicfest in Steamboat Springs to name a few, as well as celebrity interviews.
The talent search will consist of four rounds:
round one: open call, where applicants will be prescreened, interviewed and perform sample on-air segments
round two: top 20 call backs
round three: pool narrowed to five finalists
round four: winner announcements
The competition will be interactive as ME viewers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite aspiring ME Television personality. Viewers are encouraged to attend the audition rounds and be on T.V., check out the website for clips of both past VJ auditions and this year’s auditions to cast their votes. The series will air on Me Television – The Next VJ, Channel 15 and Digital 577 every October 1st..
