Constance Wodlinger

Constance Wodlinger has developed, launched and operated two previous 24-hour music and entertainment networks for domestic and international television. . .Hit Video USA and TMZ – The Music Zone.

The first, Hit Video USA, a wholly-owned company, was broadcast via satellite in the U.S. from 1985 – 1990 and ultimately bought out by MTV Networks parent company, Viacom International. Wodlinger retained the rights for the feature series and continued to produce them for international distribution. (Owner, President & CEO)

In 1994, Ms. Wodlinger was approached by Liberty Media to develop and operate a 24 hour music network for global distribution via the PanAmSat satellite system. This joint venture network, TMZ – The Music Zone, was on the air through mid 1996, when the Liberty division was sold to Murdock’s NewsCorp. (Partner, President & CEO)

Wodlinger retained the TMZ trademark and continued to produce the world’s largest catalog of weekly music series for television for domestic and international distribution. Wodlinger’s companies have produced more than 50,000 hours of original programming that has been seen in all corners of the world including Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim, the Middle East, South America, and the United States.

In 1989, Wodlinger negotiated the first-ever worldwide television music licensing deal with VPL and IFPI in London, representing record companies around the world. The deal was announced by the joint heads of all the major record labels at a press conference at MIP-TV in Cannes. That agreement continues to set the standard for all music licensing agreements with producers.

Prior to her network ventures, Wodlinger owned and operated several successful U.S. radio and television stations and developed numerous national promotions including a summer concert series with HBO. She also operated a television news bureau in Nairobi, Kenya covering the African continent with documentary and news footage for the U.S. and international television market.

The NBC Today Show featured Wodlinger as “Business Person of the Week.” She has also appeared on CNN, ABC Business World, Prime Time Live, Entertainment Tonight and interviewed by several magazines including Fortune, Time, Variety, Billboard, Venture, Television Business International, and others.

Recording artists and record labels have awarded Wodlinger more than 100 gold and platinum records during her career in the music business. She was one of the founding platinum members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Kevin Connor
VP Music & Artist Relations

Kevin was drawn to Austin by its music (and a friend's wedding) in 1981 and has been promoting Austin music on the radio and television here ever since. In 1990, he helped start 107.1 KGSR Radio Austin, where he hosted the morning show until last April, when he resigned to devote his full attention to ME. Kevin’s first involvement with music television came through his 5 years of service as chairman of the Austin Music Commission. He was asked to help supervise the operation of the old Austin Music Network through a period of its transition. When the City of Austin said it would cease funding of the channel, Kevin met Connie Wodlinger and worked with her to create a privately-funded model that would maintain a commitment to promoting Austin music and entertainment. Kevin lives in Oak Hill with his wife Melissa and his son Chris.

Jacqueline Renee
V.P. and Executive Producer

Jacqueline Renee, ME Television's V.P. and Executive Producer is responsible for all on-air content and is uniquely experienced in the 24-hour music and entertainment network television genre.

She has worked with three 24 hour music networks. At the first, Hit Video USA, she started as an air talent and eventually became Music Director and Producer while attending the University of St. Thomas Communications School. Jacqueline (then Jacquie Black) was the featured host for a weekly music series produced for the Tribune station in New York and was responsible for research and producing as well as on air duties. She also went on to produce several internationally syndicated series, and established critical relationships with all record labels to ensure video service and organize interviews and other on air productions.

Jacqueline moved to Florida to help build the 24 hour music network, TMZ: The Music Zone (a partnership with TCI/Liberty) from the ground up. Jacqueline was hired as Sr. Producer, responsible for all shows being produced and broadcast via satellite. In the last few years Jacqueline has worked on several independent film projects in both talent and production capacities
